The Gino J. Merli Veterans’ Center, located in downtown Scranton, is home to just under 200 Commonwealth veterans and their eligible spouses who are disabled, chronically ill, or in need of specialized care.

hc architects teamed with Martin Rogers Engineering Consultants and was selected by the Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) to complete a multi-phased interiors-based renovation to this Veterans Home.  The project scope involved changing flooring finishes throughout the facility as well as a complete remodel of all nurses’ stations to increase efficiency and adapt to the changing face and needs of this assisted living facility.  Replacing doors and all toilet room and public bath fixtures as well, the project was phased to allow for construction to be completed while the facility continued its day-to-day operations.
