St. Thomas Aquinas Church
Archbald, PA
The rebuilding of this ornate, historic church results from a tragic ceiling collapse of the original structure in 2011. The vaulted, plaster ceiling was replaced in-kind and the decorative painting reflects the appearance of the church in the early 20th century. New work includes power and lighting, liturgical recon-figuration, and ADA accessibility. Careful attention needed to be paid to ensure structural stability, and the result restored this historic Catholic church to an ornate diocesan jewel.
